Jessica Jensen

Jessica found her passion for Massage Therapy after receiving help from a massage therapist regarding her intense whiplash symptoms from a dirt bike incident. Still frustrated from experiencing symptoms 7 years after her incident, she discovered a massage therapist who finally gave her the deep relief she had been longing for.

Jessica’s foundation of her practice is in Massage Therapy. She then went on to earn extensive training in Myofascial Release, & Craniosacral Therapy. Her education continued as she added Visceral Manipulation & Lymphatic Drainage to her healing toolkit. Jessica’s foundational belief is that every body is individually unique, and the key to unlock each person’s particular complication can be found & relieved, not just covered up. She uses many different routes & modalities to help solve each individual’s limiting issues- particularly chronic pain.

Jessica worked for an occupational therapist who was a TA for John Barnes- the leader in Myofascial Release. She had already had several of his classes, and quickly became intrigued by the power of implementing this technique. The more and more she worked with different types of people, the more she became aware and educated on the different, unique tools she wanted to potentially add to her practice. Following this desire, she completed extensive training in Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation & Lymphatic Drainage. Her deep belief is that you do not have to live with the pain of your particular condition- which aligns with the thoughts of many other integrative & alternative health doctors. Sometimes a patient needs a prescription, but other times with the aid of a therapist, alternative partitioner, etc., in your corner, a lot can be accomplished. She is not just looking at the direct location of the pain, and covering it up with surgery, pills, and a quick fix. Jessica works to help the individual find healing by looking at their whole self.

Jessica Jensen is originally from the Midwest, and moved to sunny Florida 8 years ago, now calling Lakeland home. She loves Lakeland’s downtown ambiance, & the love that the locals have for their historic downtown. She came from a place that had 96 days of average sunlight, so loves now soaking up the blue skies, & fluffy clouds year round!. She loves searching for shells on the beach, bird watching, and the year-long growing season for her garden. When she isn’t helping her clients, you can find her on walks at Circle B Bar Reserve, or spending time at the gulf.

Ayurveda Manual Therapies

Ayurveda Manual Therapies is here to help by providing outstanding alternative and complementary healthcare to those who choose to pursue a better quality of life through massage therapy. Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word that means “life knowledge”. When a new client arrives, I will talk with them about what their body has been through from birth to the present, through injuries, accidents, etc., to tell me what that body needs released from it, whether that be muscular, structural, or emotional.

At Ayurveda Manual Therapies, I view the client’s body as a complete and interconnected system. My goal is to help my clients achieve their optimal wellness and become pain-free. To reach these goals, I educate my clients on how to implement a simple & realistic home exercise program – tailored to their specific needs – to maintain and extend the benefits of my treatments. These exercise programs require daily minimal effort, performed over a consistent amount of time to create lasting results.
